Worship With Us

Recent years have seen many changes in worship among Christian churches and here at Kings Mountain Baptist our weekly worship service is "traditional" in style.  We do make use of at least one chorus during the service as a backdrop for our time of greeting, but other than that we typically employ hymnals and live music with a piano and an organ.  In addition, we have a reading from both the Old and New Testaments each week so as to remind us of the larger tradition of which our faith is a part.

Though we don't typically think of our services as "liturgical," our pastor does wear a robe on certain special occasions, and we do have some services associated with the "church year," such as our annual Tenebrae Service on Good Friday.  Our customary weekly schedule includes the following:

On Sundays

  9:40 a.m. Church Library Opens
9:45 a.m. Sunday School for All Ages
11:00 a.m. Morning Worship
  6:00 p.m. Weekly Youth Gathering
6:00 p.m.   Evening Bible Study and Prayer
  (Committees meet in the afternoon)

On Wednesdays

  5:30 p.m. Fellowship Supper (Occasional)
  6:30 p.m. Children in Action
6:30 p.m. Midweek Bible Study and Prayer
  7:15 p.m. Sanctuary Choir Rehearsal
(Adult Missions Meets on 1st Wed)
