Recent years have seen many changes in worship among Christian churches, but here at Kings Mountain Baptist we continue in our time-honored "traditional" style.  We do make use of at least one chorus during the service as a backdrop for our time of greeting, but other than that we typically employ hymnals and live music with a piano and an organ.  In addition, we have a reading from both the Old and New Testaments each week so as to remind us of the larger tradition of which our faith is a part.  Our deacons participate in every morning service, and we include our children through the use of a children's sermon.

Though we don't typically think of our services as "liturgical," our pastor does wear a robe on certain special occasions, and we do have some services associated with the "church year," such as our annual Tenebrae Service on Good Friday.  Our Sunday evenings are times when we have an informal service that usually includes an expository Bible study, led by our pastor.  On every 5th Sunday night we have a special "music night" when we sing familiar hymns and allow members and others to share in the music ministry.  Our customary weekly schedule includes the following:
